Pumpkin Pie Smoothie & Homemade Whipped Cream


This week in the creAte kitchen, the kiddos whipped up (literally) homemade whipped cream and pumpkin pie Smoothies. We focused on reading ingredient labels and learned how to choose foods that are Fuel and help our bodies grow!

HOME-MADE WHIPPED CREAM


Ingredients

1 cup cold heavy whipping cream

1/4 powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other flavorings or liquors


Instructions

  • Place mixer bowl and whisk in freezer for at least 20 minutes to chill.

2. Pour heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla into the cold bowl and whisk on high speed until medium to stiff peaks form, about 1 minute.

Do not over beat.


Notes

For stabilized whipped cream that will hold longer in the refrigerator, add 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar to your fresh whipping cream along with the confectioner’s sugar.


Pumpkin Pie Smoothie


Ingredients

1 Cup of Liquid Choice (Water, Milk, Dairy Free Alt)

1/2 Cup Pumpkin Puree

1/2 Banana

1/2 Cup Ice

1/2 Cup Oats

2 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

(Add 2tsp Honey if you NEED to sweeten it up 😋)


Instructions

1.Measure out ingredients

2. Place all ingredients in a blender.

3. Blend 30 sec-1 minute until it is the consistency you like

4. Clean up Mess!
